Royal Mail Door to Door price increase

by Graham Dodd on 04/01/2018

Royal Mail door to door have announced an increase to their door drop charges.

Charges for any distribution starting on or after Monday March 26th will increase, but as in previous years, there is a window to avoid the increase by booking before Friday March 2nd.

RM D2D rate card assigns the 9,343 postal sectors across the UK to one of nine pricing bands.

The average increase across all the pricing bands is 2.2%.

Three of the nine bands increase by 4% or 3%, but the remaining six bands only increase by 2%.

So, dependent upon which bands your selected sectors are allocated to, the increase could be more or less than the average 2.2%.

Importantly however, we can book your future activity up to 13 months in advance, at existing 2017 rates.

So, if you wish to avoid these increases, please feel free to send us your distribution requirements at any time and we will provide a distribution proposal by return.

Royal Mail will also be changing certain elements of their Terms & Conditions, which have not been clarified to us of yet.

Once we have a clearer picture of that situation we will update you.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact us at any time.
