As part of the SCA Group and working with consumer marketing experts, Blue Chip Marketing, The Letterbox Consultancy has helped to plan and implement several FMCG coupon distributions across the past 5-10 years.

The most notable came in 2018, with the distribution of over 4 million coupons for Cushelle toilet roll, as part of an integrated campaign that included TV advertising.

The leaflet contained two timed coupons and redemption rates came in substantially higher than historical averages for this sector – with the second coupon redeeming just as high as the first, offering a clear indication that the coupons had helped to drive repeat purchase.

Activity was targeted using both Mosaic and store level planning, with distribution carried out via a range of channels that include Royal Mail door to door and free newspaper.

The campaign was such as success that it was awarded the top prize in the Best Use of Door Drop category at the DMA Awards.
