Interesting creative from British Gas

by Graham Dodd on 12/05/2017

It’s been some time since we received a door drop which in our opinion, really creates standout on the doormat, so take a bow British Gas and their creative agency

On the right hand side, you can see this interesting creative that arrived recently.

Along with targeting and the efficiency of the final mile delivery, the creativity of your door drop item and the calls to action will determine the success of your campaign.

BG’s clever die cut – I’m assuming of a puffin – carrying a package containing a smart meter really caught the eye.

I do have some question marks around the ‘personalisation’ – their offer to me is because I live in Enfield… but I live in Cheshunt!

As an agency, we frequently handle clients’ versioned items and we do understand there can be difficulties in personalisation, and that lines need to be drawn somewhere in the sand.

But is there not a danger that some consumers will not respond to this leaflet if they just think it is not applicable to them because they do not live in Enfield?

That aside, congratulations to British Gas on an interesting and eye catching leaflet – we always welcome such creativity on the doormat!
