Happy Birthday to us!

19 years ago today, The Letterbox Consultancy opened its doors for business, at the same time breaking the mould on how door drops were planned and implemented.

The door drop world was full of “media owners”, plying their own trades and/or at best representing the interests of a then flourishing free newspaper industry.

But Royal Mail was emerging as a credible door to door service as well and the door drop landscape began to change.

TLC’s promise to the client world was to provide an independent and impartial targeting, planning and media buying service dedicated solely to door drops, a brand new opportunity for clients to take advantage of an experienced practitioner, no longer restrained by having only have one company’s skill set to represent.

19 years later, many companies have of course replicated our services, but we would argue that there is still no other company solely providing such a door drop service without including any in-house services or solutions.

Its been an incredible journey through which we have grown year on year and are still growing.

Its hugely gratifying that some clients who used our services all those years ago are still clients, though many are all at different client companies.

Its fascinating that we still receive contact occasionally from clients from yester year, some even going back 25-30 years!

We’d like to think that’s a strong indication that we are doing something right!

So thanks to all those clients who have supported us over all those years and thanks also to our army of suppliers.

It may be nearly Christmas but we have a busy few business days in front of us and with meetings in the diary for the New Year we seem to set for a fast start next year.
