DMA – a new dawn

A New Year, a new challenge.

For the first time ever under the guise of the DMA, the Door Drop community has an opportunity to create a working party primarily dedicated to promoting the door drop medium to regional and local advertisers, which should be of specific interest to regional and local DMA accredited door drop suppliers (and advertisers).

I have agreed to be the initial Chairman of this new working party, but it needs other volunteers to make it work, so do you want to be involved?

I’m looking for a wide cross section of members who could (and perhaps should) come from an appropriate mix of clients, agencies, free newspaper publishers, Royal Mail door to door, distribution companies – anyone who has a specific interest in this business sector.

And I’m not looking to only recruit experienced, “older” members (though they will be welcome), its an opportunity for a younger generation to become involved in the industry association relevant to their business activities.

Not too far down the line, somebody will need to take the reins over from me.

There will be an obvious need to meet from time to time and whilst London is commonly an easy option, I don’t want that to be a barrier to anyone signing up – most of our work can also be communicated by email and telephone. I do not want to rule anyone out because of their location.
